User Cases
These user cases should be considered whenever changes to Astrid are proposed.
Power Users/Task Hackers
Tommy Task Hacker loves the control that task management gives him over his life. He was a RTM (Remember the Milk) user long before Astrid was a twinkle in Tim Su’s eye. He read Getting Things Done and wants to give Allen a few pointers on how to better organize his life. Tommy does his best to get the most out of RTM, using regular lists and smart lists extensively. He constantly tries to convince his girlfriend that using a shared list on RTM would make them both more efficient.
Occasional Organizer
Sam the Simple was looking for a simple todo list akin to what he used on his Blackberry when he stumbled upon Astrid. With over 4.5 stars it has to be good right? Sam needs little more than a place to make a list of what bills to pay each month, and somewhere to log his random ideas about the things he would like to do some day. Astrid’s snarky comments and reminders took some getting used to, but over time Sam has really begun to be more productive. Sam still wants to keep things simple, and every additional option [OR every new option OR each additional option OR every new addition to the application--I'm not quite sure what you want to say] is strange to him. Why are all these people talking about Remember the Milk? Now, Sam is well on his way to falling in <3 with Astrid.
